At PPRH, our Surgical Services Department is uniquely designed to provide maximum patient and family comfort as well as staff efficiency. We offer comprehensive General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Plastic Surgery and Endoscopy Services. Innovation and technology play important roles in the delivery of high-quality surgical care, but it takes more than just technology. Our physicians and staff are among the best caregivers in the area. Each one is a board certified specialist, trained in the latest procedures and practicing in our well-equipped, modern surgical suites. PPRH also houses a comfortable waiting area for families as well as pre-operative/recovery rooms where loved ones can spend time with patients before and after surgery.

Endoscopy Services

Endoscopy procedures involve the use of scopes to allow physicians to view internal cavities of the body. The Endoscopy Lab at PPRH is equipped with the latest technology for preventative testing, diagnosis and treatment. Although some endoscopy procedures require admittance to the hospital, over 90 percent are scheduled on an outpatient basis. Common endoscopic procedures include colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, EGD and biopsy.

Perioperative Services

The Perioperative Services department is the place for endoscopy, PACU (post anesthesia care), infusion/injection services and other surgical procedures. Inside, you will find two operating rooms, three PACU bays and six same-day surgery bays. You will also find a compassionate, caring team of professionals with nearly 75 years of combined operating room experience.
